Greek Chicken Marinade Recipe

🐔 Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs or breasts (boneless, skinless)

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • Juice of 1 large lemon (about 3 tbsp)

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar

  • 2 tsp dried oregano

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional, for color)

  • Zest of 1 lemon (optional, for extra zing)

🥣 Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Chicken:

    • In a bowl or zip-top bag, combine olive oil, lemon juice, vinegar, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and paprika.

    • Add chicken and coat evenly. Marinate for at least 30 minutes (but ideally 4–12 hours in the fridge for max flavor).

  2. Cook the Chicken:

    • Grill: Preheat to medium-high heat. Grill chicken for 5–7 minutes per side until fully cooked (internal temp 165°F).

    • Stovetop: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add a little oil and cook chicken 6–8 minutes per side.

    • Oven: Bake at 400°F for 25–30 minutes.

  3. Serve With:

    • Warm pita or rice

    • Greek salad (cucumber, tomato, olives, feta)

    • Tzatziki sauce (yogurt, cucumber, garlic, dill)
